JULY 4th CELEBRATION AT DCYC
Join us for another full moon sail on Saturday, July 4th, at Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club (DCYC). This year we are teaming up with the DCYC members for a variety of activities, including a Sunfish regatta Saturday morning, Hobie sailing Saturday afternoon, a cookout Saturday evening, followed by a sailboat tie-up on the water after dusk to watch the area fireworks celebrations. Scout Day Rescheduled to Saturday, May 30
Due to the rain on May 16, the Scout Sailing Day has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 30! Help support the May 30 Scout activity. Fleet 23 will supply boats to assist with on-the-water activities, at Hobie Point, on Saturday, May 30. A fairly large contingent of Scouts will be out so we need as many boats as possible. Leukemia Cup Survives Weekend Deluge
In spite of torrential rain, the Hobie portion of the 2009 Leukemia Cup Regatta was completed with a total of 4 races over the May 2-3 weekend. Hobie racers and guests contributed towards the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's overall 2009 regatta fundraising total of $120,000 ... an impressive total in light of the tight economy.
